The Impact you will have in this role :
We are seeking a experienced Lead Business Analyst / Technical Writer to join our dynamic team. The Lead Business Analyst / Technical Writer will play a crucial role in analyzing business processes, finding opportunities for improvement, and translating business needs into technical solutions and contribute to creating clear and effective technical documentation.
In addition, the Lead Business Analyst / Technical Writer will play a crucial role in translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly content that improves the user experience.
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding writing skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with domain experts and cross-functional teams.
Your Primary Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with customers, subject matter experts (SMEs), developers, and designers to understand complex technical concepts, products, objectives, and expectations ensuring project success.
- Create high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, online help guides, API documentation, release notes, and tutorials.
- Create detailed documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flow diagrams.
- Develop and maintain documentation standards, guidelines, and templates to ensure consistency and clarity across all documentation.
- Translate technical information into user-friendly content suitable for various audiences, including end-users and developers.

- Organize and structure information logically to create documentation that is easy to navigate and understand.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical team members, ensuring alignment and shared understanding.
- Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and clarity, and update content as needed.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that technical solutions align with business requirements and goals.
- Work closely with multi-functional teams to gather information, validate content, and ensure accurate representation of products.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to business analysis as well as enhance the quality of technical documentation.
- Participate in project planning, scope definition, requirement prioritization and collaborate with teams to ensure documentation deadlines and project success.
- Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Qualifications :
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success :
- Experience as a Technical Writer, with a portfolio showcasing a range of technical documentation.
- Previous experience as a Business Analyst, with a track record of successfully delivering business process improvements and solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect complex problems and propose practical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers at all levels.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a good command of grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, or Markdown.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
