Job Summary :

The Collections Representative is responsible for managing delinquent accounts receivable across various business units. This role involves reviewing account statuses, contacting customers to resolve outstanding balances, and negotiating payment arrangements in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach.

Key Responsibilities :

Review delinquency reports and identify accounts requiring collection efforts.

Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to inform them of overdue balances and secure payment.

Negotiate payment arrangements using discretion and judgment within company guidelines.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit file information and account documentation.

Manage established credit lines and submit requests for increases when necessary.

Research billing discrepancies and resolve disputes in a timely and professional manner.

Meet performance metrics related to call volume, payment resolution, and customer service.

Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum 3 year of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or customer service.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and collections software or CRM systems.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and time management abilities.

Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of billing systems and payment processing tools is a plus.
