Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of cardiac procedural experience and ARRT or RCIS certification.
Responsibilities
Work in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settingsPerform procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, coronary and orbital athrectomy, IABP and Impella insertion / removal, rotoblader athrectomy, and percutaneous coronary interventionsCare for young, middle, and older adult patient populationsShift is 4x10-hour day shifts from 7 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PM with rotating day offCall schedule includes 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts every 6 weeks, with a 30-minute call back requirementOne week of call (Friday–Sunday) grouped every 6 weeks; remaining call days flexible within six weeksOne Saturday shift for elective cases required in each 6-week rotationAll staff and travelers rotate holiday coverageMust be able to work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment; two holidays required during winter assignmentsTravelers who live within 100 miles are considered local and are not accepted for this positionPast employees must have been separated for at least one year prior to consideration as a travelerEpic and specialty modules may be completed pre-start or during orientationMust provide a copy of driver’s license and social security card for considerationRequirements
Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab experience; 3 years preferredCurrent ARRT plus VA or other state license, or RCIS / CCI certification requiredBLS and ACLS certifications requiredExperience with interventional radiology or critical care preferredExperience with Epic EMR preferred, not requiredExperience with TAVR, Watchman, Mitraclip, Impella, and IABP procedures requiredLicense required if applicableTwo references required for considerationBenefits
