Budtender (Part-time) $19.08 + tips (tip pooling averages $5-$12/hour)

Sales Associate / Budtenders are responsible for creating an environment where clients feel truly cared for, valued, respected.

Assist each client with outstanding service at point of sale while providing exceptional service and product knowledge leaving each client’s needs satisfied.

Ensuring the accurate representation of physical inventory in the inventory management systems and correcting discrepancies that occur.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : (This list is not intended to be all inclusive)

• Perform opening and closing duties
• Provide exceptional service and product knowledge
• Record transactions accurately in the POS, use appropriate log in, and ensure the accuracy of assigned till
• Escalate client issues to Supervisors when appropriate
• Listen and respond to customer and coworker needs / requests appropriately and timely
• Follow and integrate Harborside policies and procedures into all on-the-job interactions, tasks, and behaviors
• Participate in monthly sweep counts.
• Research and correct variances in physical and logical inventory levels.
• Isolate specific items or product categories with high shrinkage rates and report findings to supervisor.
• Collaborate closely with other team members to ensure the timely completion of task.
• Maintains discretionary practices with all vendors, voucher and contractor information, tactful with all sensitive business information
• Maintain a positive, caring attitude, and treat customers / co-workers with respect
• Maintain neatness, cleanliness, and organization of the department.
• Verify inventory counts against internal invoices
• Add METRC ID labels to products
• Create and execute a count schedule so that all inventory items are counted, recorded, and all discrepancies are researched every 4 weeks

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Assist with the maintenance of departmental equipment and ensure it is functioning and in good working order.
• Attend required meetings and participate in team and professional development activities as needed.
• Provide timely and appropriate feedback to Supervisor.

• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to increased sales and profitability.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

• Requires prolonged standing and sitting, and some bending, reaching, stooping and stretching
• Ability to operate a computer, POS system and other office equipment
• Moving up to 40 pounds on occasion

WORKING CONDITIONS :

• Work will generally be performed in a fast-paced cannabis dispensary
• Involves frequent contact with staff and contact with clients / vendors
• Requires repetitive hand and wrist motions
• Requires working varied hours / day, including nights, weekends, holidays, and / or events, on occasion
• Requires mandatory inventory counts
• May include working an alternative work week

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

• HS diploma, GED or equivalent
• Prior experience creating reports in Excel
• Prior experience (1+ year) of inventory control or warehouse experience
• Prior experience (2+ years) working in the cannabis and / or health industry
• Must be 21+ years old and pass a criminal background check
