ROLE AND PURPOSE :
The Deputy Superintendent serves as an extension of the superintendent in leadership, communication, collaboration, and alignment of school district efforts.
This position creates authentic partnerships between departments and schools that focus on meeting the learning needs of each and every student by aligning district resources and school needs, encouraging a mindset of continuous improvement, and establishing a culture of coaching and growth.
The Deputy Superintendent is responsible for utilizing leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills in creating world class learning experiences throughout the organization.
Qualifications :
Education / Certification :
Master's degree in Education Required, Doctorate degree preferred Superintendent Certification

Experience :
Five (5) years experience in educational administration required
Experience in district level leaderships positions with similar responsibility required

- Coach cabinet members and senior staff members for goal attainment and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cabinet members to ensure data is used to inform improvement practices and overall district performance.
- Assist Superintendent with the development and implementation of cabinet and executive team
- Consult legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state
- Study legislation and participate in helping share legislative priorities for the
- Coordinate policy development and revision for the district.
- Interpret state law and district policy in all areas as requested or
- Plan and coordinate the development of district-wide
- Serve as a resource speaker, presenter, and
- Serve as a member of various community and education advisory committees and
- Serve as a member of incident response teams when needed.
- Support the Superintendent in all areas of administrative decision-making and work toward achieving those decisions.
- Pursue thoughtful alignment between district and campus improvement efforts.
- Support the alignment of resources for improvement efforts.
