This is a SCA Contract, the employer pays service employees a minimum wage, health and welfare benefits, vacation time, and holiday pay, based on Department of Labor wage determinations.

Job Summary:
The Material Support Technician coordinates material support functions.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a Secret Clearance and able to maintain clearance.
- Associates degree preferred.
- 2-3 years' experience.
- NIMMS/ABOM, DO35K, DIFMS systems experience required.
- HAZMAT training experience preferred.
- Good organizational skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good research skills.
- Strong work ethics.
- Strong computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Researches analyzes and performs corrective action related to government parts.
- Identifies the availability and initiates purchase requests for parts, materials and supplies as required by the production shops.
- Works with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Retail item Manager to resolve discrepancies between supply and maintenance systems.
- Orders, receives and issues parts, materials and supplies per the Job Order Number (JON).
- Maintains appropriate on-hand stock levels to support production.
- Coordinates material requirements with other production support personnel to reduce/turn-in excess serviceable/unserviceable material.
- Retrieve and deliver material to appropriate locations.
- Performs turn-in transactions for Integrated Prime Vendor (IPV) bench stock.
- Performs turn-in operations/documentation for Due In For Maintenance (DIFM) items.
- Support Facility Other maintenance (FOM) programs.
- Authorizes, orders, receives, issues, inventory and accounts for hazardous material (HM) utilizing the Enterprise Environmental Safety and occupational Health (EESOH) MIS.
- Ensures the hazardous material is stored, transported, inspected and disposed properly.
- Establishes and maintains approved detail records for inventory of all items.
- Monitors the Material Processing System (MPS) to review, analyze and resolve unplanned material orders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

The working conditions will mostly be a well-lit, warehouse environment.
Physical Requirements
This position must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. as well as have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Physical requirements of the position may also include, but are not limited to, bending, twisting, and lifting.
