Summary :
Responsible for controlling and supporting the accounting and reporting operations of the Sarens' companies concerned, in-line with Group standards and legal requirements. Thus to ensure the accuracy, reliability, completeness, appropriate timing, and compliance of the reported financial results.

SHEQ & Compliance
- Responsible for motivating / ensuring everyone works safely and according to the Sarens' SHEQ standards, as stated in document of SHEQ department - Responsibilities Manager with Regard to Safety, Quality & Environment, to ensure that all work is done in a safe, efficient, and qualitative way.
- Complies with the attitude of Lean and continuous improvements in the organization.
- Visits various sites / locations and fill in a WPI on regular basis.
- Responsible for ensuring that all executed activities and processes are in compliance with Sarens' SHEQ standards, policies, instructions, and local legislation.
Controlling & Supporting
Ensures and executes reliable and punctual financial administration including proper filing, which includes all accounting responsibilities : General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Provisions, Deferrals, VAT / Taxes, ICO Reconciliations, Monitoring Cash Levels, Periodical Closing.Controls all accounting operations and deliverables of the companies concerned.Controls month-end closing and verifying of inconsistencies.Supports the accounting operations and reporting cycle where and when required.Follows up on all debtor issues (credit management, limits, issues, etc.) together with Accounts Receivable.Follows up on vendor issues (credit limits, vendor invoice discrepancies, vendor payments, etc.) together with Accounts Payable.Advises and verifies (intercompany) invoicing.Maintains a comprehensive set of controls to mitigate risk, optimize accuracy and timing of reporting, in compliance with Group standards, and accounting principles and applicable legislation.Supports the control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures of the Accounting Department(s) concerned.Transactions
Ensures that all closing activities are performed correctly and in due time.Calculates variances from the budget.Proactively intervenes, advises, and takes actions, when necessary, both invited and unsolicited, e.g. when deviations (are expected to) occur, and in response to relevant trends and developments.Reporting
Produces the accounting and financial reports and statements in accordance with Group standards and applicable legislation, in order to keep management informed on the company's success and uses this information to manage and improve results.Controls the submission, accuracy, reliability, completeness, appropriate timing, and compliance of the reporting pack.Provides financial analyses as required, e.g. project and resource analysis, and points out to the business any (foreseen) variances e.g. in actual and budgeted figures.Controls the provision of information for the annual audits.Conducts statutory and statistics reporting in compliance with Group standards and legal requirementsSolves any irregularities and deviations independently, investigates and intervenes when necessary, and takes appropriate and punctual actions, seeking the assistance of higher his / her Manager.Additional activities
