Talent Acquisition Specialist
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the full lifecycle recruitment process. This role is responsible for assisting with recruitment efforts, managing administrative hiring processes, and serving as a key point of contact for hiring managers and candidates. The Talent Acquisition Specialist contributes to building a strong employer brand through outreach efforts, advertising job opportunities, and creating a positive candidate experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong foundation in HR practices, particularly recruitment and onboarding. They excel at managing multiple priorities efficiently while ensuring a smooth, positive experience for candidates and hiring managers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide administrative support to recruitment, onboarding, training, and compliance processes to create welcoming and efficient experience for all candidates and employees.
- Oversee job postings, coordinate interview schedules, conduct candidate prescreening, and guide new employees through the onboarding process.
- Serve as a key resource for hiring managers and candidates throughout peak recruitment cycles, including coordinating the onboarding process for more than 1,000 seasonal staff annually.
- Troubleshoot issues for applicants, new employees, and current staff related to the HRIS or application processes, while monitoring department inboxes and providing timely support and guidance.
- Maintain and update employee records in HR systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility while generating reports and analyzing data to support decision-making.
- Assist with candidate outreach, screening, interviewing, and orientations as assigned.
- Represent Cleveland Metroparks at career fairs and community events to promote equitable access to employment opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and applicants, providing timely information and support while maintaining confidentiality and respect.
Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, communications, or related field required. Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in human resources; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
Qualifications :
Knowledge of human resource policies, best practices, and programs.Experience engaging with candidates and efficiently managing all aspects of pre-employment screening processes, including fingerprinting, background investigations, and drug testing coordination.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and workflow tracking programs strongly preferred.Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees and the general public.Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work cooperatively with others.Proficiency in software programs including all Microsoft Office programs.
