Position Summary :
Our Technology teams are hiring full-time Interns to work in-person in the summer of 2024.
Locations will vary depending on the internship, but could include the following office locations : Baltimore, MD, San Ramon, CA, St.
Petersburg, FL, or New York City, NY.
This summer developmental experience goes far beyond a traditional internship. Our interns have the opportunity to network with engineers, specialists, analysts and leaders across North America, participate in team meetings and discussions, and develop a deeper understanding infrastructure management as it relates to end user experience, infrastructure management, office of the future and other exciting areas where technology plays a key role.
We're seeking individuals from ALL backgrounds who have a passion for technology, communicate and collaborate effectively, strive to grow and improve as active learners, and have a strong "why" behind their interest in the asset management industry.
Depending on role, key responsibilities could include :
- Supporting business teams via production support and fixing bugs in batch
- Assisting in development and migration of workflows from legacy AWS environment to current AWS environment
- Delivering cutting-edge digital solutions for Franklin Templeton Wealth Management clients via state-of-the-art digital web and mobile channels.
- Supporting our business teams using machine learning tools to automate manual time-consuming business processes.
- Provide technology support to users across a wide range of business teams and infrastructure designs
- Learn how to affect change by managing effective relationships.
- Collaborate with our technology teams to improve current workflows that support our site locations, clients, and user base more efficiently.
Ideal Qualifications will vary by role, but in general we are seeking students who possess some or all of the following :
- Rising undergraduate third or fourth year (Junior or Senior) enrolled in an accredited college or university. (Expected graduation dates must be in either 2025 or 2026)
- JAVA, JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS, Python, C#
- Familiarity with Unit testing frameworks (Junit)
- Knowledge of Maven
- Awareness of Microservice architecture concepts, RESTful services and awareness of design patterns
- Adaptability with capacity for differentiated thinking
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Information Security based mindset and comfort with ambiguity
- Commitment to excellence and detail-oriented with an end-user experience thought process
- Team player but works well independently
- Open to diverse perspectives and collaborating with talent from across the company.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring current or future sponsorship.

Compensation Range : This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 38 hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $23-$30 USD per hour, depending on location.
There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
