Junior Project Accountant

A growing construction and manufacturing company in the Baltimore Metro area seeks a qualified Junior Project Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Support project accounting functions including billing, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly job cost reports and variance analyses.
• Process vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of project budgets, commitments, and change orders.
• Work closely with Project Managers to monitor project financial performance and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly project reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
• Prepare client invoices and ensure timely collection of receivables.
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the project accounting function.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, etc.)

Strong analytical and organizational skills
