Description
We are seeking a dedicated Work-Based Learning Secretary to join our team at NEWTech. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all administrative tasks associated with work-based learning programs, including compliance paperwork, event scheduling, and tracking the progress of our student’s post-graduation. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- SCHOOL YEAR POSITIONS (214 DAYS / 10 MONTHS)

Responsibilities
Documentation and Compliance : Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to work-based learning programs. Ensure compliance with local and state educational regulations.Event Coordination : Organize and schedule events such as Auto Night, Construction Trades Lunch, and other related functions. Coordinate logistics, communicate with participants, and manage event budgets.Student Follow-Up : Conduct regular check-ups on current students and alumni to gather data on employment status and career progression. Provide support and resources to help students succeed in their careers.Communication : Serve as a point of contact for students, employers, and school staff regarding work-based learning opportunities, events, and guest speakers. Act as a bridge between students, educational institutions, and employers to facilitate communication and ensure all parties are informed about program expectations and progress.Record Keeping : Manage databases of student placements and outcomes. Prepare reports and presentations for school administration and stakeholders.Gather data to identify trends, successes, and areas needing improvement.Generate regular reports on student placements, completion rates, and post-completion outcomes to inform strategic planning and program adjustments.Support Services : Assist in the development of marketing materials and outreach efforts to promote work-based learning programs.Technology Integration : Implement and manage technology solutions that facilitate the administration of work-based learning programs, such as student management systems or online learning platforms.Quality Assurance : Solicit feedback from students and employers to continually refine and improve program offerings.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional secretarial courses preferred.Minimum two years of recent secretarial or clerical work experience required, with School District experience preferred.Ability to accurately type 40 words per minute.Basic level knowledge of general computer skills, including Microsoft office programs, payroll software, financial software (i.e., Intouch), nutrition services software (i.e., Mosaic), single point of entry software, and student information system (i.e., PowerSchool) experience preferred.First Aid card preferred.
