Theoris is assisting a global leader in safety solutions in their search for a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer . This role will design, implement, and support innovative MES solutions that optimize manufacturing performance and software reliability across multiple product lines. The position combines hands-on technical work with strategic process improvement—supporting digital transformation and ensuring manufacturing traceability, efficiency, and quality.
Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement MES software solutions : support digital manufacturing and automation initiatives.
- Manage and maintain MES servers and integrations with Oracle ERP systems.
- Troubleshoot MES & system connectivity issues; root cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes.
- Work with SQL databases to generate traceability data and enable process improvement.
- Convert manufacturing process flows into automated workflow models.
- Provide MES traceability data and ensure data integrity between MES and ERP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute the digital manufacturing vision.
- Support MES validation documentation and coordinate with digital quality and validation teams.
- Leverage MES and PLC knowledge to standardize and streamline new process development.
- Participate in on-call rotation for MES-related incidents (rare).
- Provide training and subject matter support to other departments.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (required).2+ years of experience in MES development, manufacturing systems, or related IT / OT integration.Java programming experience preferredERP system experience (Oracle preferred).Experience with databases and SQL.Ignition certification or hands-on experience highly desired.Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and related controls is beneficial.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship needs.Occasional travel required, including domestic and Mexico locationsABOUT THEORIS
