Position Title : Human Resources Manager
Location : Bryan, TX
This opportunity offers support, leadership, and oversight of all Human Resources functions for a manufacturing facility.
As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of HR programs, including employee relations, talent acquisition, training, communications, compensation, and regulatory compliance.
Reporting directly to the Regional Director, you will also serve as the daily business partner to the Operations Director.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintaining positive employee relations by providing guidance to supervisors, monitoring separations, addressing workplace issues, developing policies and procedures, interpreting policies for management, and ensuring effective employee communication.
- Handling administrative tasks such as managing public relations, participating in staff meetings, overseeing company donations and sponsorships, coordinating the company uniform program, and representing the company in unemployment hearings.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by implementing and maintaining the Affirmative Action Program, attending educational seminars, and staying updated on relevant reference materials.
- Managing the recruitment process for exempt, non-exempt, and temporary positions, including coordinating with recruiters, creating advertisements, collaborating with management, conducting interviews, and assisting with employee orientations.
- Overseeing employee recognition programs, planning and executing company functions, and maintaining service awards and gifts.
- Serving as a resource for employees, ensuring their understanding and compliance with HR policies and regulations.
- Driving the development and implementation of HR initiatives that align with business goals and promote effective employee and management relations.
- Advising management on potential problems, recommending and implementing solutions as needed.
- Suggesting innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to support continual improvement and acting as a catalyst for change within the plant.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of plant goals, objectives, and systems.
- Tracking HR key performance indicators, identifying root causes of workforce issues, and leading improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining department records and reports.
- Actively participating in company-wide HR projects and meetings.
- Managing vendor relationships when necessary.
- Collaborating with the Compensation and Benefits team to ensure competitive programs are in place for talent attraction and retention.
- Partnering with Safety to foster a safe work environment and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Performing any other assigned duties as required.
Minimum Job Requirements :
Education / Certifications and Experience :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 5 years experience in HR within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with HRIS, specifically Workday.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Ability to lead and work effectively within a team and independently.
- Strong multitasking abilities in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
- Analytical mindset with excellent reasoning and math skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to large audiences and effectively communicate with senior management.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and consistent communication with all parties involved.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Supervising and guiding one or more Human Resources Administrators or Generalists.
- Overseeing work performance, making final decisions on hiring and disciplinary actions, evaluating program objectives and effectiveness, and adjusting work assignments and staffing, as necessary.
