Tinker Federal Credit Unions Financial Services department has an immediate opening for an Financial Advisor, TFCU Financial Advisors (TFS) ! As the Financial Advisor, TFCU Financial Advisors (TFS) you will be responsible for the following :
Assisting prospects and clients with assessment of their present and future financial goals, will offer solutions tailored to their individual needs and objectives, as well as proactively build and grow the relationship by providing superior service and ongoing advice.
Working independently and as a team in marketing, prospecting, goal planning, conducting seminars, scheduling of appointments, and networking with TFCU branches, employees, and community.
Educating and clearly explain the specifics of recommended products and services, so the prospect / client is informed on the reasoning / justification behind the recommendations.
Salary Range :
The salary will be within the range of the Financial Advisor Engagement Agreement.
Education / Experience :
You must have a bachelor's degree and two years experience in investments and sales promotion are required.
Applicable work experience and / or military experience may be substituted for education at the rate of two years of experience for one year of education.
Applicable additional education levels may be eligible to satisfy experience requirements. Financial institution experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :
- Incumbent Bonding REQUIRED by TFCUs chosen authority.
- Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 General Securities Representative License Required.
- FINRA Series 66 Uniform Combined State Law (FINRA Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law and FINRA Series 65 Uniform Investment Advisor Law may be used in lieu FINRA Series 66 Uniform Combined State Law) License Required.
- Required at hire or within 12 months of employment : State of Oklahoma, Life, Health, and Accident / Sickness Insurance License.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Preferred.

In order to be successful as the Financial Advisor, TFCU Financial Advisors (TFS ), you must possess these qualifications :
- Excellent organizational skills to prioritize various assignments and projects under time constraints.
- Ability to retain information and knowledge of TFS and regulatory policies and procedures
- Ability to work with urgency to meet a high level of accuracy requirements in securities and insurance reporting and documentation, within federal and state regulations and to insure the quality of TFS and member / client portfolios
- Present a professional, business-like appearance and manner.
- Must be thoroughly knowledgeable of federal, state, broker / dealer, and National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) regulations (i.
e., Security Exchange Commission (SEC), FINRA, and State Securities and Insurance Regulations) and how they apply to job and duties thereof.
- Must maintain high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Excellent presentation skills to individuals and groups of people.
- Ability to effectively communicate with and actively listen to clients to recommend suitable products that meet their needs.
- Ability to analyze, understand, and communicate market movements, economic conditions, and risk factors as they relate to financial planning concepts, product pricing / valuations, etc.
- Ability to understand the differences in philosophies between retail and / or bank securities and insurance business as compared to a credit unions affiliated securities and insurance business.
