The Accounting Advisory Services practice at CBIZ is seeking a Senior Consultant with 3+ years of experience in public accounting as well as industry experience as a senior accountant, accounting manager or consultant role to join the organization's team to support our national practice.
The Senior Consultant will be an integral part of the accounting advisory services' team primarily focused on delivering technical and operational accounting support for clients, while developing managerial and client serving skillsets in a team-oriented environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and high energy team and to directly impact the performance and success of the practice.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
- Provide accounting advisory support to clients, including implementation assistance with new accounting standards
- Outsourced Senior Accountant work
- Assist in the drafting of technical accounting memos for various topics such as equity versus debt classification, revenue recognition, business combinations, lease accounting and other technical accounting matters
- Performs technical industry and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available information
- Assist in preparation of clients internal and external financial statements including supporting schedules and required disclosures
- Assist clients in closing their books on a monthly and annual basis
- Assistance with audit readiness
- Develops and maintains productive working relationships with client personnel
- Review Consultant work product and provide feedback
- Responsible for completion of engagements, including managing all aspects of project
- Conduct solid analysis; deliver solutions for internal and external clients
- Attain revenue objectives
- Adhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks with the time requested
- Participate in business development activities to include memberships in qualified organizations (alumni associations, chamber of commerce, networking groups, etc.) or regular business contacts with peers capable or eventually capable of referring potential engagements and cross serve opportunities

The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
