Position Summary

Seek Now is searching for a motivated and experienced Military Transition Recruiter to conduct lead generation, end-to-end recruiting, and onboarding for transitioning service members into Seek Now’s DoD SkillBridge and US Army Career Skills Program (CSP) internships.

This role focuses exclusively on recruiting active-duty service members into internships with the goal of onboarding them into Seek Now post-internship. Additionally, this recruiter will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with TAP coordinators, CSP / SkillBridge counselors, and third-party military transition influencers such as the USO and veteran service organizations.

The ideal candidate has prior military experience, extensive knowledge of military transition programs, and a proven ability to build relationships within the military ecosystem to drive lead generation and conversions. This position will report to the Senior Director of Seek Now DRIVE Academy.

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal Recruiter candidate will have the following qualifications :

Minimum Requirements :

  • Prior military experience with a deep understanding of military culture and transition programs
  • Willing and able to frequently travel to and access US military installations for recruitment purposes
  • Familiar with application tracking systems

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a recruiter, preferably in the military or related fields.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with and influence candidates.
  • Build and maintain quality relationships.
  • Experience with career fairs and other similar events to include planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Experience using social media to attract qualified leads.
  • Ability to plan and budget business travel that maximizes costs and efficiencies.
  • Daily Responsibilities :

    Establish & Maintain a High-Quality Lead Pipeline

  • Engage and prequalify transitioning service members for Seek Now’s SkillBridge and CSP internship programs.
  • Maintain ongoing candidate relationships to ensure a smooth transition into the internship and onboarding into full-time roles post-internship.
  • Using ATS and / or CRM tools, maintain a pipeline of candidates, tracking their status throughout the recruiting process.
  • Develop Strong Relationships with Military Transition Influencers

  • Proactively engage TAP coordinators, SkillBridge / CSP liaisons, and other key military transition personnel to ensure Seek Now is a preferred employer partner.
  • Expand relationships with external military support organizations (, USO, VA programs, military spouse networks) to improve recruiting reach.
  • Schedule and conduct briefings or recruiting events on military bases, independent of formal career fairs.
  • Lead Seek Now’s Military Internship Recruitment Efforts

  • Attend military career fairs, transition workshops, and base events to generate new leads.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute targeted recruiting initiatives to convert internship leads into onboarded teammates.
  • Provide candidates with transition coaching and resources to ensure internship and employment success.
  • Enhance Lead Generation Through Social Media & Digital Outreach

  • Utilize LinkedIn, Facebook groups, and other online platforms to engage with transitioning service members.
  • Develop, facilitate, and / or execute targeted outreach campaigns to drive interest in Seek Now’s internship programs.
  • Monitor and participate in discussions in veteran and military transition groups to establish brand presence and attract leads.
  • Organizational and Task Management

  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills to manage daily tasks, track lead progress, and follow up with candidates and influencers consistently.
  • Ensure that leads remain warm by maintaining frequent communication and setting timely reminders for follow-ups and updates.
  • Proactively manage a high volume of candidate interactions, while staying organized with all communications, scheduling, and task completion.
  • Relationship Management and Travel Planning

  • Keep relationships with TAP coordinators, SkillBridge / CSP liaisons, and military transition influencers warm through regular check-ins, updates, and engagement in relevant discussions or events.
  • Plan and execute travel schedules that maximize time and efficiency, ensuring cost-effective travel while maintaining relationships with key influencers and attending events.
  • Coordinate and prioritize travel plans, including military base visits, career fairs, and other recruitment events, while balancing the demands of ongoing candidate engagement and relationship-building.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities :

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities at this time.

    Education and Experience Requirements :

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a recruiter or military transition
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required
  • Experience with MS Teams or Zoom a plus
  • Work Environment :

  • Professional office and military installations
  • Physical Demands :

  • Must be able to stand during events (3-7 hours)
  • Must be able to traverse airports and other modes of transportation
  • Must be able to routinely use standard office equipment.
