May work up to 1-2 Saturdays per month on a rotation. Weeks including a Saturday will include an additional weekday off. Some evenings may be required.

Job Summary

Provides a high-level of customer service to students and community members by administering a variety of academic, career, and certification assessments at the Rio Salado College (RSC) Northern Testing Center. This position follows strict policies and procedures for online test administration and provides technical support to customers and team members. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of front-line Testing Services at the RSC Northern Testing Center and for opening the Testing Center each day.

Essential Functions

60% - Provides a high-level of direct customer service to students, candidates, staff, and faculty; administers assessments following specific, established procedures and policies, all while working in a team environment; serves as a certified proctor and exam knowledge expert; maintains database information and confidential testing records; successfully opens RSC Northern Testing Center each day

15% - Provides a high-level of technical support to students, candidates, part-time staff, and other team members through troubleshooting; corresponds and collaborates with Faculty, outside departments, and external companies regarding testing issues and scheduling; prepares and maintains correspondence and reports related to Testing

15% - Trains and implements policies and procedures to full-time and part-time Testing Technicians; establishes and coordinates work schedules for the Rio Salado Northern Testing Center staff; responsible for ensuring coverage during all hours of operation; provides follow up training to staff when necessary and collaborates with the Testing Department training team

10% - Maintains office systems and procedures; provides general clerical and front-desk support for the Testing Center, including answering phones, returning calls and voicemails, maintaining the Testing Center email inbox, and greeting or directing student and customer traffic; maintains overall organization of the Testing Center area, including files and records, and ensures accurate receipt and processing of payments; performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution, and one year full-time of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

B. Experience administering assessments using exam administration software / applications

C. Experience providing technical support or technical troubleshooting

D. Experience collaborating with outside departments, faculty, and / or external corporations

E. Bachelor's Degree

Special Working Conditions

The primary location for this position is the Rio Salado College Northern, located at 1715 West Northern Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85021 but will be required to work at other locations for training and coverage purposes. The Rio Salado College Northern Testing Center is open Monday - Thursday, 9am-9pm and may potentially expand to Fridays and Saturdays, 8am-5pm. This position may require some evening hours and Saturdays. May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen. May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs.

Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D Driver's License is required; employee must meet district minimum standards regarding driving :
