POSITION TITLE : Retail Digital Marketing Lead
POSITION STATUS : Full Time, Salary Exempt (Hybrid- Tempe)
The Retail Digital Marketing Lead is a key leadership role that requires a robust blend of creativity, analytical acumen, strategic thinking, and advanced communication skills. This role will take on a high level of responsibility, including overseeing digital marketing strategies and driving the overall digital presence of the company. You will be instrumental in guiding website maintenance, digital initiatives, content creation, and analytics while managing all digital marketplaces and brand profiles.
As a senior member of the marketing department, you will play a crucial role in executing comprehensive communication and campaign plans across email, text, and web platforms. You will need to be adaptable, embrace change, and foster opportunities for business growth. Your ability to prioritize and make independent decisions will be critical, and you must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous start-up environment.
Core Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to enhance the company's online presence and drive traffic and conversions.
- Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with business goals and brand standards.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and relevant analytics for websites, apps, marketplaces, SEO, geofence, GA4 / Analytics, and programmatic advertising.
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize digital marketing strategies and improve ROI.
- Generate detailed reports to assess the effectiveness of marketing efforts and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee website and app initiatives aimed at increasing visitor traffic and online revenue through SEO best practices, keyword research, and content audits.
- Ensure digital content is optimized for user experience (UX), maintaining hyperlink integrity, image quality, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Manage website content updates, including digital profiles, promotional pages, and multimedia elements to support marketing campaigns.
- Supervise all digital marketplaces (e.g., Leafly, Weedmaps, I Heart Jane) to ensure accurate and timely updates of promotions and brand information.
- Develop and distribute communication plans, including texts, emails, reengagement campaigns, and loyalty programs.
- Track and implement growth strategies for email and text KPIs, generating reports to measure campaign effectiveness.
- Coordinate with affiliated agencies and website development partners to execute digital projects and ensure seamless integration of marketing initiatives.
- Ensure all digital marketing operations comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing trends, competitor activities, and audience behavior to inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications and Skills :
5-7 years of experience in digital marketing, with a proven track record of successful strategy development and execution.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.Superior communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence stakeholders.Proficiency in SEO, content management systems, and web analytics.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Commitment & Dependability :
