The Bourbon Group, one of Salt Lake City’s most beloved brands, is currently seeking Hosts / Hostesses to join our downtown teams!

Our mission is to help our guests by curating a dine-in experience that brings people together around the table to enjoy great cuisine and cocktails featuring some of the largest spirits collections in the country.

Our menu highlights our craft kitchen items, prepared using locally sourced ingredients. We also feature a full bar that includes an impressive selection of wine and craft beers.

We are looking for team members that are hardworking, unique, bring a warm, personal, and thoughtful approach to hospitality, and find joy in actively serving their team and guests.

The Bourbon Group Hosts / Hostesses position is committed to creating an exceptional dining experience for every guest. Hosts / Hostesses should be warm and welcoming promoting a comfortable drinking and dining environment.

Hosts / Hostesses are always on time and prepared for their shift. They go out of their way to please the guest and are never inconvenienced by special requests.

Servers must communicate clearly with diners to meet their needs. The Hosts / Hostesses are expected to promote teamwork by cooperating with management and collaborating whenever possible with other team members.

Job Summary

Full-Time Host / Hostess $11-14.00 / hour plus tips. Expected take home will be $20 / hour.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas
• Provide guests with accurate wait times and updates as needed
• Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings
• Inform guests of current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff
• Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate
• Communicate with service staff and management regarding any pertinent service information

Qualifications

• Willing to work a flexible schedule and weekends
• Ability to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask efficiently
• Team play with a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor

Bourbon Group offers medical, dental, and vision benefits to all of our full-time (30+ hours / week) Team Members. The Bourbon Group pays 65% of medical for qualified Team Members.

Eligibility begins the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.

• Perks : Team Members receive 50% off meals on and off shift. This discount extends to 3 guests when dining off duty. Discount is available at all our locations.
