We're seeking a highly experienced and motivated CBTC Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of a major Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) program for a prominent transit agency. This is a brownfield implementation, requiring deep expertise in integrating advanced technology into an existing, operational transit system.
As Program Manager, you'll oversee the full lifecycle of the CBTC program from strategy and specification development through contractor selection, design, testing, commissioning, and revenue service cutover. You'll be the central point of contact for the client, building strong relationships across operations, maintenance, engineering, and executive leadership. Key responsibilities include :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Systems, or related field preferred) or a technical discipline
15+ years of progressive experience in project / program management within the railway or transportation industry
10+ years of direct experience with CBTC systems, including brownfield implementations in active transit environments
Proven success managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects on time and within budget
Strong understanding of transit operations, maintenance, and safety-critical systems
Experience managing large contracts and coordinating multiple vendors
Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Proficiency in project management tools and software
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory frameworks
PMP certification or equivalent (preferred)
