• Location : Bismarck, ND (North Dakota travel nursing jobs)\n
• Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Cardiac Stepdown / Intermediate Care Unit (IMC)\n
• Unit Size : 34 beds (28 cardiac, 6 IMC)\n
• Assignment Duration : 13-week travel nurse contract\n
• Start Date : October 25, 2025\n
• End Date : January 24, 2026\n
• Shift : 12-hour rotating day / night shifts (includes every other weekend and holiday)\n
• Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary : $2140 - $2290 per week\n
• Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)\n
• Dress Code : Navy Blue Scrubs\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
• Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state (required for travel RN jobs)\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiology or cardiac stepdown nursing experience\n
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)\n
• Proficient in central line care, chest tubes, foley and trach care, heparin and insulin gtts, angiograms, post-pacemaker and post-TAVR care\n
• Experience with EPIC charting, Omnicell, Alaris IV pumps, and central monitoring systems\n
• Must reside more than 80 miles from Bismarck, ND\n\nCardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities\n
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and IMC patients in an acute care setting\n
• Accurately maintain provider orders and patient documentation using EPIC\n
• Perform advanced procedures : chest tube insertions, titration of medications (including low-dose pressors), and foley catheter insertions\n
• Care for patients with cardiac diagnoses : CHF, pacemaker placements, PCI, TAVR, heart catheterizations, and atrial fibrillation with RVR\n
• Monitor and manage patients on BiPAP, heated high flow nasal cannula, insulin and amiodarone gtts, and heparin gtts\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including a dedicated charge nurse on day shifts\n
