Position Summary :
Bradley is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation / Trial Paralegal experienced with complex business litigation to join our dynamic legal team.
This role is essential in supporting attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on complex business cases. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Position Responsibilities :
- Well versed in both federal and state court procedure and filing requirements, including e-filing in federal and state courts.
- Perform administrative duties such as calendaring hearings, court and discovery deadlines.
- Draft routine court documents, including notices of appearance, motions for extension of time, motions for default, and subpoenas.
- Manage hard copy and electronic case documents, including email and file organization, and preparation of hard copy binders.
- Conduct internet research, including case retrieval from Lexis and Westlaw.
- Assist with document productions (redacting, copying, Bates stamping).
- Cite-check, Bluebook, and shepardize briefs and legal memoranda.
- Organize, analyze, and index documents and exhibits.
- Assist with all aspects of deposition preparation.
- Create and maintain trial exhibit and deposition designation databases; assist with preparation of pre- and post-trial briefs.
- Provide trial support in the courtroom, including technology setup, courtroom connection configurations, and trial presentation (OnCue).
- Communicate effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels within the firm; strong service orientation required.
- Organize and manage litigation cases from inception to trial and appeal, including document productions, deposition preparation, and trial preparation.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Position Requirements and Desired Skills :
Familiarity with complex, commercial litigation required.Experience with electronic discovery and document analysis in commercial casesMinimum of 5 years litigation paralegal experience.Minimum of 2 years trial experience preferred.Detail-oriented with strong proofreading skills.Solid understanding of commercial legal principles and complex practices.Ability to apply knowledge of the litigation process from pretrial to post-trial.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Superior interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal and external clients, attorneys, and staff.Bachelor's degree with ABA paralegal certification or Associate's / Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies preferred.Ability to travel locally and nationwide as needed.Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.Willingness to work moderate to heavy overtime.Why Join Bradley?
