You will assist surgeons during operations and keep the operating room sterile at all times. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient care of the patient in the operating room.\n\nTo be a successful RN - Operating Room Nurse, you need to possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of operation procedures and patient safety. Being sympathetic and sensitive is a prerequisite for the profession. As an operating room nurse, you'll go one step further by being a critical thinker and fast to act in emergencies.\n\nResponsibilities : \n

• Circulate and / or Scrub on all cases.\n
• Primarily, GEN, GYN, Urology, Ortho (Totals / Sports Medicine), Spine, Neuro, Plastics, Robotics (DaVinci XI) and Trauma.\n
• Penrose specializes in Heart, Vascular surgeries with dedicated service teams for hearts and Vascular only.\n
• Associates are cross trained for all other services.\n
• Giving breaks and / or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations.\n
• Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next day's cases.\n
• Acting as an advocate for patient before, during and after surgery.\n\nJob Benefits : \n

• \n\nEducation Requirements\n
• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement\n
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred\n
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs\n\nExperience Requirements\n
• One year experience preferred\n
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty\n\nLicenses / Certification Requirements\n
• RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact\n\nPhysical Requirements\n
• Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and / or up to 20lbs frequently, and / or up to 10lbs constantly)
