HEAVY EQUIPMENT HAULER position at Brazos Paving, Inc.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Managing commercial vehicles with a high degree of safety.
- Before and after every trip, examine the vehicle thoroughly as part of your usual routine.
- Create a plan for routing and delivery timetable management to facilitate the timely arrival of shipments.
- Perform cargo loading, unloading, and securing tasks while adhering to all relevant safety regulations.
- Coordinate deliveries by establishing clear communication pathways with responsible parties at the job sites and clients.
- Document working hours and vehicle maintenance for monitoring and accountability.
- Follow all safety procedures and DOT guidelines.
- Timely reporting of vehicle issues, violations, or accidents.
- Exhibit good judgement and provide personalized attention, prompt responses, and helpful solutions.
Knowledge, Skill, And Ability Requirements
Compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols for hauling heavy equipment.Hazards and safety precautions of the trade.Care and use of hand and power tools used in equipment hauling.Ability to haul various equipment and maintain professionalism and integrity.Strong prioritization and time management skills; ability to carry and transport bulky objects.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Always display good judgement.Physical Demands
Regularly required to talk or hear; often must stand, walk, handle objects, and reach with hands and arms. Occasional sitting, climbing or balancing, kneeling, crouching or crawling. May lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the use and operation of a vehicle.
Working Conditions And Additional Requirements
This position routinely requires use of company vehicles on company business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record. Employees may be subject to random Motor Vehicle Record and alcohol and drug testing as a condition of continued employment.
