Medical Assistant

Medix is a Joint Commission Certified staffing company who helps some of the top Hospitals and Clinics in the Chicagoland area hire for their Medical Assistant openings.

This specific Medical Assistant (MA) is an urgent request and we are looking to get people interviewing ASAP!

Job Description :

• Check schedules
• Organized patient flow
• Accompany patients to exam / procedure room
• Assist patients as needed with walking transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exams, etc.
• Collect patient history
• Check vital signs performing screenings per provider guidelines
• Assist providers as needed
• Conduct Charting
• Phone triage
• Medication administration relaying instructions to patients / families
• Answering calls
• Conduct prescription verifications with physician's orders
• Obtaini lab / X-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.
• Complete forms / requisitions as needed; scheduling appointments
• Conduct patient check-in and check-out
• Verify insurance coverage and patient demographics
• Managing and updating charts to ensure that information is complete and filed appropriately
• Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned including respecting / promoting patient rights; responding appropriately to emergency codes;

sharing problems relating to patients and / or staff with immediate supervisor

Estimated pay rate :

$21 / hour - $24 / Hour - Completely based upon experience

Qualifications :

1+ Year Medical Assistant Experience Required

Certified Medical Assistant OR Medical Assistant Diploma Required
