Actalent is Hiring for A Civil Engineering Manager!
Actalent has partnered with a land development engineering firm that is in need of a driven Civil Engineer to lead their Lincoln OR Omaha location.
Description / Responsibilities :
- This person will be working to create structural designs of steel buildings applying established engineering practices, model building codes, and company standards
- Designs. Projects will include hangars, schools, gymnasiums, retail centers, churches, sports arenas, and manufacturing facilities and grain handling facilities to name a few
- This person will need to review project plans, specifications and building code requirements and provide solutions to problems during fabrication and construction .
Convey design information to drafting, using written and verbal communication
- Sr. Engineer will assist in mentoring, coaching and training staff to ensure continuous development of bench strength within the team.
- Strong interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
- The ability to earn trust and respect and persuade and guide people to solutions that best meet the client needs and the firm’s business objectives
- This position is viewed as an active engineering role involving planning, design, construction administration, oversight, management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications :
- Must be a current PE holder
- Previous design experience using Civil 3d
- Project budgeting, review, and contract proposals experience is preferred
- Monitor and review of budgets and invoicing
- Scheduling and assignment of resources
