Our Director of Food & Beverage provides leadership to important functions and teams that create and execute property-level services to our members, prospective members and guests. Under the leadership of the General Manager, and as a member of the senior management team, this role promotes high-level hospitality to members and their guests and while ensuring that the goals of both the food and beverage department and the event operations of the Club are being met through active, visible leadership, staff development, and attention to detail.

- Assure that all Entrada food and beverage team members approach every encounter with members and guests in a friendly, service-oriented, hospitable manner. Create an atmosphere that is welcoming, friendly, and warm.

- Ensure that all facilities are presented in an organized, safe, and clean manner. Establish operations standards and checklists to ensure that daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual cleaning functions are completed.
- Effectively lead, direct and collaborate with Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Managers on all food and beverage operations. Foster a culture that consistently creates opportunities to exceed Member expectations through outstanding food and beverage experiences.
- Collaborates and assists key managers with developing and achieving business and operating plans. Participates in the creation of events and menus to entice variety of appetites, for both restaurants and banquets.
- Ensure the highest standards for food, beverage, events and other Club services.
- Audits all food and beverage inventories to assess control reliability. Identifies opportunities to control product costs and other expenses.
- Reports member infractions to the General Manager and when necessary to the grievance committee for necessary action.
- Monitors monthly and other financial reports / statements on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for the division and takes effective corrective action in cases of any unfavorable budget variance.
- Provide actionable data and insights to effectively lead the Club on behalf of its stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance with procurement purchasing policies and procedures.
- Monitors business volume forecast in each department and advises changes to plans or programs, in areas of manpower, productivity, COS, operating costs and other elements.
- Coordinates development of operating and capital budgets related to the food and beverage operation according to the approved budget calendar; monitors monthly and other financial statements for the division; takes effective corrective action as required.
- Provides advice and recommendations to the General Manager and committees about construction, alterations, maintenance, materials, supplies, equipment and services not provided in approved plans and / or budgets.
- Work with Human Resources professional(s) to ensure adherence to basic personnel policy; collaboratively initiate and monitor policies relating to personnel actions and training and professional development programs.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Directly manage and lead department members that may include but is not limited to : Food and Beverage Managers; Executive Chef; Administrative Assistant.
- Ensure that human resources procedures and policies are followed and that deviations are effectively managed in collaboration with corporate Human Resources.
- Effectively participate in and / or lead Club governance activities to include but not limited to all member / employee, Board of Directors, and Club Committee meetings.
- Administers Club policies, procedures and the Strategic Plan established by the General Manager, the Board of Directors, and / or Membership.
- Consistently ensures that the Club is operated in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws.
- Handles emergencies such as fires, accidents and breaches of security or house rules promptly and in person. Emphasizes prevention through training, inspection and preventive enforcement.
- Gives direction to and works closely with vendors, outside contractors, firms and individuals providing services, lease agreements, or contracts to the Club.
- Monitors club's overall safe work practices and coordinates ongoing safety education programs.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Education / Experience :
Bachelor's degree (BA); or four to six years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences :
