Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist to support their accounting team. This role will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and assisting with general accounting duties. This position is 100% onsite in Waterbury, CT and it is 20 hours / week

Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist :

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and organized AP records, both electronic and paper files.
• Assist with monthly closing tasks, including AP accruals and reporting.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and build strong relationships with suppliers.
• Support the accounting team with ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Specialist :

Target Compensation : $25 / hr
