Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong research and analytical abilities, and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients affected by medical malpractice.
Trial experience and familiarity with medical terms are essential.
Responsibilities :
- Advise and counsel clients
- Review medical records
- Consult with medical experts to develop case theories
- Draft lawsuits and motions
- Take and defend depositions
- Litigate cases in court
- Negotiate settlements and liens
Qualifications :
- Juris Doctorate and license to practice law in Illinois and Missouri, or licensed in one jurisdiction and willing to take the bar in the other
- 2+ years of experience practicing law, with at least 1 year of deposition and trial experience
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Negotiation skills
- Basic knowledge of medical terms
Preferred Qualifications :
- 3+ years of experience working in medical malpractice / personal injury law
- Physician deposition experience
- Jury trial experience
