Advanced practice clinicians provide 24 hours of weekday coverage and 18 hours on weekends. There is no scribe support, and the EMR system is Cerner ED Launch Point. Providers do not place admitting orders. The facility is a Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and holds additional designations as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, LVAD Center, and ECMO Center, with specialized units including NICU, PICU, SICU, CICU, MSICU, and serves as an EMS Base Station.

The facility is seeking locum coverage due to ongoing staffing challenges, ideally starting ASAP. Board certification in ABEM or AOBEM is required. For those not yet boarded in EM, ACLS and PALS are needed in addition to BLS and ATLS. The need is short-term (36 months), with a preference for providers who can cover night shifts. To help stabilize the program, 1520 shifts per month are requested. Temporary or emergency privileges are rarely granted.
