Vice President of Sales Position Overview
UWorld is seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales to drive the sales strategy and execution for our portfolio of educational products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, with a focus on driving revenue growth and building high-performing sales teams. This role involves managing the sales team, collaborating with marketing, product development, and customer success to ensure alignment and maximize results.
The Vice President of Sales will serve as a strategic partner to the executive team and will be instrumental in defining the future direction of the company’s growth initiatives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals and objectives
- Lead and mentor the sales team to improve performance, coaching and developing team members
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to position UWorld’s products effectively
- Collaborate with marketing to develop integrated campaigns that drive demand and sales
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Prepare sales forecasts and budgets, tracking performance against goals
- Report regularly on sales success and areas for improvement to the executive team
- Attend industry events to network and promote UWorld’s products
- Continue to innovate the sales process to better serve customers and improve efficiency
Qualifications & Skills :
Proven experience as a Vice President of Sales or similar leadership roleStrong knowledge of sales strategies and techniques in the educational sectorExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAnalytical mindset with problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProficiency with CRM software and sales analytics toolsAbility to travel as needed for client meetings and eventsRequirements
Candidate Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership roleProven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growthExperience in the educational technology or publishing industry is highly desirableExceptional negotiation and closing skillsResults-oriented with a strong customer focusWillingness to embrace change and drive innovation within the sales processBackground Experience :
Demonstrated success in leading large sales teams and managing complex sales processesStrong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs in the educational spaceExperience conducting market research and utilizing insights to inform strategyFamiliarity with e-learning products and services is a plusBenefits
