Job description

Sales Engineer – Machine Tool Solutions

We are seeking a seasoned and driven Sales Engineer with a strong background in precision machining and advanced manufacturing solutions. This individual will be responsible for developing new business while strengthening relationships with existing customers, ensuring satisfaction, and driving growth across a defined territory. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with business acumen and thrives in consultative, solution-based sales.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting both new and existing customers within the precision machining and manufacturing industry.

Partner with machine tool builders and internal technical teams to deliver tailored solutions that address customer needs.

Build compelling business cases to support sales opportunities and communicate ROI to key decision-makers.

Create and deliver high-impact presentations, proposals, and demonstrations that showcase the value proposition of advanced machine tool solutions.

Manage technical requirements in response to RFPs and RFIs, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.

Provide clear feedback from customers to influence product improvements and future technology development.

Gather, analyze, and share competitive intelligence to strengthen market positioning.

Requirements

Proven success as a Sales Engineer or in a technical sales role within the machine tool or advanced manufacturing industry.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and sell high-value technology solutions.

Strong technical background in precision machining, automation, or manufacturing processes.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for executive-level audiences.

Track record of building long-term, trusted relationships with senior executives and engineering teams.

Excellent problem-solving, creativity, and negotiation skills.

Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events as required.

CMTSE certification or equivalent is a plus.
