JOB SUMMARY
The Controller will be responsible for the control of the financial operations of ROC America regarding Equipment activity (Axens NA, PCD & PFR entities).
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow up of the financial operations of the Heaters & proprietary equipment business for Axens NA, PCD and PFR including locations of the Houston, Tulsa and San Jose operations office
- Responsible for financial analysis and general accounting
- Will work under general supervision from the FP&A Controller
- Will be accountable for the accurate revenue and cost recognition of projects (short & long term) for capital construction, spare parts & services.
Also responsible for the accurate recognition of long term software license leases
- This position will support the development of accounting and reporting processes, procedures, and will utilize their knowledge of accounting as well as systems to improve the operational & financial effectiveness of projects
- Will assist the FP&A Management in preparing plan / budget / forecast
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
Business Analysis
- Margin & EBIT analysis (actual vs budget)
- Control of operations including percentage of completion, revenue deferrals, contracts amortizations etc.,
- Control of other factors relating to measuring the financial results of the company operations.
- Contribute to yearly Estimates, Budget & Business Plan presentation packages
- Evaluate and consult with other Managers on financial, logistics and accounting issues.
- Facilitate the steps of external audit aiming at ensuring accurate application of entity and / or Group directives.
Business Partner
- Develop and continually improve financial reports for operations and sales groups as needs of the business evolve. This includes publication of financial results to all levels of management each month.
- Assists with preparation of financial materials for periodic meetings as needed.
- Support all phases of the Project Accounting function including :
- Propose proper revenue recognition treatment based on percentage of completion or cost-to-cost.
- Ensure that revenue and job cost is properly recognized each accounting period.
- Provide project managers with the reports and information required so they can prepare for their monthly project reviews.
Lead the monthly Project Review meetings in a professional manner.
- Maintain construction in Process reports and the status of job in progress
- Maintain ethical and professional business practices in day-to-day activities
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5- years of accounting and project analysis experience required.
- Experience dealing with Spreadsheets, Power BI and expertise in SAP required.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to learn current office software and equipment as well as any future updates.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
