Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator with 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate should be adept at operating either a traditional stand-up or sit-down forklift. You will be responsible for scanning inventory in and out using both a scanner and a computer system, as well as handling pallets by stacking, loading, unloading, and staging.

Responsibilities

• Operate a traditional stand-up or sit-down forklift effectively.
• Scan inventory in and out using a scanner and computer system.
• Handle pallets by stacking, loading, unloading, and staging.
• Use an electric pallet jack for inventory management.
• Engage in shipping and receiving tasks as required.

This position offers an 8-12 week temporary opportunity through the holiday season, with the potential to transition to a contract-to-hire role based on performance.

Work Environment

You will be working in a warehouse setting, spending 75% of your day on the forklift moving pallets and staging orders. Positions are available at two locations : Hook Rd with shifts from Monday to Friday, either 7am-3 : 30pm or 3pm-11pm; and Commerce St with shifts from Monday to Friday, 7am-3 : 30pm.

This is a Contract position based out of Bayonne, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 / hr.
