Job Summary :

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing accounts payable, maintaining financial records, and supporting general accounting functions. This position handles vendor invoice entry and filing, assists with month-end close, reconciles general ledger accounts, and supports accounts receivable by applying payments and following up on past-due balances. Additional duties include maintaining accurate vendor files, preparing reconciliations, posting journal entries and bank activity, and ensuring compliance with internal documentation and approval processes. This is a detail-focused, deadline-driven role that plays a key part in the day-to-day financial operations of Vista Care.

Responsibilities (Including but not limited to) :

• Processing accounts payable
• maintaining associated records
• collaborate with accounts receivable
• process daily invoices
• Posting journal entries into accounting system
• AP vendor file maintenance
• An internal audit of AP / AR vendor / customer adds / changes
• Reviewing of AP expenses batches
• Monthly review of Payables
• Preparing various reconciliations
• Maintaining credit card transactions and preparation of reconciliations
• Posting of the bank activity into the accounting system.
• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• 1099 maintenance
• Occasional lifting of up to fifteen (15) pounds
• Sedentary Work
• Minimum 2-years degree in Accounting or more years of work experience.
• Special skills required— Must be proficient using calculator and Microsoft or Google suite products, experience using computerized accounts payable system, good oral communication, and telephone skills and basic accounting principles.
