The Assistant Director for Facilities is responsible for the overall condition of the Adele H. Stamp Student Union building, including housekeeping services, maintenance, the recycling / composting program, environmental safety, renovation projects, and the loading dock shipping / receiving operations.
The Assistant Director will provide oversight for the supervision and work coordination of approximately 40 full-time and part-time staff members, as well as coordinate the work performed by outside contractors. Additionally, the Assistant Director will coordinate all related services provided by the University's Facilities Management department. Position requires in person presence during business hours Monday through Friday.

Must be able to work in a combination of office and confined areas that are dirty and less than ideal spaces (mechanical rooms, roof tops, etc.) to conduct building inspections.
Work is performed in both an office environment and in the field. The incumbent will be required to occasionally perform hands-on tasks and inspect the work of others, which will necessitate the ability to work in potentially hazardous or irritating environments. These environments may include confined spaces, as well as situations that involve lifting, bending, stooping, working at heights, and operating in adverse conditions. Work is generally performed during normal working hours; however, it is expected that those in this position will work whenever necessary to ensure the facility operates safely and efficiently at all times. After hours, service calls are to be expected at times.

Salary range is $105,000-$125,000, commensurate with experience. Excellent health benefits, tuition remission, and a generous leave package.
