Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a respected government contractor committed to serving our nation's heroes, is looking for experienced General Medicine Nurse Practitioners to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Nevada. Required Skills

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Nevada
• Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
• Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
• Ability to perform exam-based assessments efficiently and accurately
• Comfortable working independently and adhering to strict protocols
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
• Reliable time management and organizational abilities

Nice to Have Skills

• Previous experience with compensation and pension evaluations
• Certification in relevant specialties or additional licensure
• Familiarity with veterans' healthcare needs and assessment procedures
• Ability to navigate electronic medical records and reporting systems

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Nevada
• At least 1-2 years of clinical experience in general medicine or related fields
• Prior experience performing assessments for military veterans preferred but not mandatory

Other Requirements

• Own office location within specified Nevada regions (Pahrump, Gardnerville/Minden, Ely)
• Capability to work on a PRN basis, with flexible half-day or full-day shifts
• Ability to perform exams independently, including interview and physical assessments
• Compliance with all state, federal, and local licensing requirements
• Willingness to complete necessary credentialing and onboarding promptly
• No travel outside assigned regions, travel costs are included

This position offers competitive hourly pay rates: $600 for half-day shifts (up to 4 hours) and $1,200 for full-day shifts (5 hours or more). Bonuses are available for timely completion of training and first exams.
