Job description

Sales Account Management Professional

The Sales Account Management Professional is responsible for achieving significant long term sales growth and customer satisfaction along with managing the overall customer relationship with the assigned accounts. This employee will work as a primary contact for assigned accounts, including engineering, product strategy, purchasing, quality, manufacturing and other areas. This employee will work to define and drive growth areas with the assigned accounts that align to Sensata's robust product portfolio across identified megatrends. This employee coordinates involvement of other team members as needed. Responsible for all business development and sales at assigned accounts and achieving significant sales and profit growth to meet or exceed goals set by the Sales Manager while achieving superior supplier ratings.

General Responsibilities

  • Leads the direct sales process and achieving sales targets
  • Responsible for visits to current and potential clients
  • Leads the performing of routine account management activities
  • Submits short and long-range sales plans and prepares sales strategies utilizing available marketing programs to reach nominated targets
  • Ensures that clients receive high quality customer service

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and / or external customers
  • Identifies and maps decision making units at customers to drive growth initiatives.
  • Primary contact for all commercial and account management topics
  • Prepares short and long term sales plans / strategies, utilizing available market data to build a pipeline of new opportunities with a high success rate.
  • Ensures that customers receive high quality service and manages customer scorecard achievement
  • Additional Experience / Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead a long and complex sales cycle for products that require a DVP&R
  • Experienced in negotiation, problem solving, and developing influence with key decision makers
