Product Owner

Project Overview

Client is seeking a Product Owner to support the Retail IQ Value Stream within the Retail Business Technology Solutions group. This role focuses on enhancing Life & Annuity data feeds from the admin platform into the Actuarial Data Repository. The Product Owner will collaborate closely with product management actuarial stakeholders and Agile engineering teams to define requirements prioritize the backlog and deliver data capabilities that advance portfolio outcomes. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity requiring onsite presence 3 days per week in Hartford CT or Fort Wayne IN.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead prioritization development and acceptance of user stories for Actuarial Data Repository enhancements.
• Partner with Product Managers and Actuarial teams to translate business needs into clear user stories and requirements.
• Provide direction on complex issues involving time scope cost quality and risk.
• Write stories / requirements for Agile POD / Build Teams related to Annuity Data Repository updates.
• Own and manage the product backlog; ensure alignment among stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
• Define User Acceptance Criteria and conduct User Acceptance Testing.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for issues related to the Actuarial Data Repository and Operational Data Store.
• Drive adoption and improve business intelligence within the Actuarial Data Repository.
• Lead implementation and integration of enhancements.
• Continuously prioritize the backlog to focus teams on the highest-value work.
• Coordinate with other Product Owners to manage cross-team dependencies.
• Engage with upstream data providers and downstream data consumers to understand Life & Annuity data usage.
• Assist in creating efficient auditable data processes and reconciliation reports.
• Provide business analyst and QA support as needed.
• Identify and recommend process improvements that reduce workload and improve quality.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and clarify development requirements.
• Maintain the data dictionary and follow established data governance policies.
