ER RN Job Details Location : Asheville, North Carolina (28801) – North Carolina nursing jobs Facility : Emergency Department (101 beds, 100,000 annual visits) Assignment Length : 13-week travel nurse contract Start Date : November 23, 2025 End Date : February 22, 2026 Shift : 7 : 00am – 7 : 00pm (12-hour day shifts) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1530 - $1640 Employment Type : Travel nursing, On-Site Scheduling : Every other weekend required; flexible scheduling to meet department needs Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (Registered Nurse) Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year as an ER RN Experience in Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center preferred Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (must be current before start) ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire Strong teamwork skills and ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department Professionalism, respectful behavior, and commitment to positive patient experience ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care in a fast-paced clinical setting Manage patient ratios typically 4 : 1 (up to 7 : 1 for ED behavioral holds) Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors; document patient care using Cerner EMR system Collaborate with techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members Float throughout all sections of the Emergency Department as needed Maintain updated patient boards and communicate effectively during patient visits Follow department policies, dress code (navy scrubs), and attendance guidelines Join our healthcare team in Asheville and experience a department known for teamwork, diversity, and commitment to serving a multicultural community.
