Analyzes non-IT business problems and articulates requirements to support process improvement opportunities.
Identifies alternative solutions and makes recommendations to improve underwriting decisions.
Prepares documentation based on analysis to articulate recommendations and supporting rationale.
Creates frameworks for assessing financial impacts of credit strategy changes.
Documents technical requirements of proposed changes to share with technical stakeholders.
Role demands ability to analyze credit performance, strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to extract and manipulate data to evaluate business decisions.
o nalyzing loan application and credit and financial performance data to recommend improvements to credit strategy decisions - 5+ years
o Coding in a SAS / SQL environment to extract data, aggregate data from multiple sources, work with different grains of data, validate data, and prepare data for analysis - 5+ years
o Communication skills to obtain stakeholder buy-in on recommended changes - 5+ years
o SAS / SQL, Excel, PowerPoint
o Extracting data from databases, validating it, manipulating it to prepare for analysis, analyzing the data to answer business questions, preparing presentations to share with stakeholders to obtain buy-in on recommended changes.
o Evaluate current and potential financial outcomes of credit underwriting practices, assess financial impacts of business decisions, conduct ad-hoc analysis
