Medical Assistant II
Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant or completion of a recognized one year Medical Assistant Program, or completion of a health care profession program with a curriculum incorporating elements of a Medical Assistant program including but not limited to : pathophysiology, medical terminology, basic pharmacology and medication administration including dose calculation and psychology. BLS certification. Experience in a clinical setting, particularly in managing patient records and supporting providers.

As a Medical Assistant II at the Thielen Student Health Center, you'll play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of the Iowa State student community. You'll assist in both clinical and clerical duties to help create a seamless, welcoming experience for patients and contribute to a holistic approach to student health. Under direct supervision of a physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or registered nurse, perform technical, patient care, and related clerical functions in an ambulatory setting by coordinating patient intake and clinic flow.
