We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Property Accountant to join our client. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional looking to bring their expertise to a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial reporting of our property portfolio, preparing financial statements, and ensuring the accuracy of our accounting records.

As a Permanent Property Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include :

1. Maintaining and managing all aspects of property accounting, including but not limited to, preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and reviewing income statements.

2. Utilizing Yardi or equivalent property management software to manage and track all financial data.

3. Conducting the year-end close process, including preparing financial reports and coordinating with external auditors.

4. Managing accounts receivable (A / R) operations, including invoicing, collections, and reporting.

5. Reconciling all general ledger (GL) accounts and ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.

6. Preparing, analyzing, and presenting monthly and annual financial reports to senior management.

7. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process.

8. Complying with all federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Job Details

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Property Accountant position will have :

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting or a related field.

3. Proficiency in using Yardi or equivalent property management software.

4. Proven experience in managing the year-end close process and preparing income statements.

5. Strong knowledge and experience in reconciling accounts and managing A / R operations.

6. A solid understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end / year-end close process.

7. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.

8. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial audiences.

9. A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.

10. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
