Senior Estimator - Bridge & Highway Construction

Senior Estimator – Remote / hybrid position within North Carolina. This role supports the growth of the North Carolina / South Carolina infrastructure market by providing accurate, peer-reviewed estimates for heavy civil construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Review bid items, basis of estimate and plans / specifications to identify errors and discrepancies.
• Build green sheet estimate, activity structure, construction schedule and risk matrix analysis.
• Prepare job budget for awarded contracts.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs within the time frame.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for quotes; analyze pricing and strengthen relationships.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NC / SCDOT Standards and Specifications.
• Lead estimating discussions with company executives and obtain clarifications on plans and specifications from owners or engineers.
• Assist in pre-bid meetings and bid submittals.
• Keep current information regarding commodity trade prices and construction technologies.
