Registered Nurse Job Details

Location : Albany, GA 31701 (Southwest Georgia healthcare jobs)

Setting : Acute Care – Med / Surg Unit (14 beds)

Contract Duration : 17 weeks (11 / 17 / 2025 – 3 / 16 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday (unit closed weekends)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800

Orientation : 3 shifts of unit-specific orientation

Dress Code : Caribbean Blue or White scrubs

RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Acute Care Med / Surg nursing

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)

NIHSS certification

Proficient in basic Med / Surg nursing skills; cardiac experience preferred

Ability to manage nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5

Experience with MEDITECH 6.1 charting system is a plus

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care for admission hold, overflow, and discharge pending patients

Administer IV and oral medications, monitor patient status, and respond to acute changes

Provide basic nursing care including pain management, blood glucose monitoring, and oxygen therapy via nasal cannula

Collaborate with LPNs, CNAs, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes

Float to other Medical / Surgical units as needed based on census

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records
