The BOM Mentor is responsible for supporting the revenue cycle process within the organization, ensuring the efficient and effective management of billing, collections, and financial operations. Ensures that cash flow is maximized, and company accounts receivable targets are met. Acts as a financial liaison between corporate departments and other staff (accounting, reimbursement, etc).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Oversight of assigned communities for Vivage / Beecan AR goals in coordination with Revenue Cycle Manager and Director of Revenue CycleResponsible for collection results for assigned communities. Includes communication and preparation of Plan for Success as needed.Site visit reporting, as well as monthly reporting to Revenue Cycle Manager and Revenue Cycle Director for expected deliverablesReview cash processes, Resident Trust, PETI, all payers and perform account reconciliations as required by Vivage / Beecan's internal audit program or as requested by the Accountant or Financial Operations teamConduct onsite internal Business Office assessment (BOA) audits, as well as support external audits (i.e. Medicaid R & B audits, Resident Trust Audits, Medicaid cost report audits, etc.)Suggest enhancements to policies or procedures that are relevant and unique to individual facilitiesParticipates in monthly AR reviews with facility Business Office Managers as neededCompletes special AR projects as assignedPerform all other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred but not necessary.Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a healthcare billing, preferably in long term care environment required.Supervisory experience preferred.Ability to understand and implement healthcare reimbursement, billing and accounting principles.Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required to succeed in the role.Commitment to the Beecan mission to consistently deliver high quality, person-centered care with dignity, respect, compassion, and integrity, and to enrich every life we touch.
