Duke Primary Care and Urgent Care is recruiting a Medical Director of Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) to ensure medical leadership and oversight of POCUS deployment and use across the network. The POCUS Medical Director's time is devoted to leadership duties and clinical practice. This position oversees the development and implementation of POCUS use related to the delivery of medical care and clinical services in the network, including education, credentialing, human resource management, financial management, and clinical and operational performance improvement. The POCUS Medical Director will work closely with the health system POCUS task force, our practices, and various clinical and administrative leadership teams to help create and foster a sense of accountability among providers utilizing POCUS in patient care.
