Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Human Resources (HR) Intern to join our team this summer and provide daily support as a valued contributor to our HR team. This role will offer you the opportunity to work on the employee facing operational side of HR. Reporting to the local HR Manager, this is a temporary onsite work opportunity in Lynchburg, VA, for the summer of 2026. Your Day to Day as an HR Operations Intern May Include :

• Researching and providing accurate and timely responses to employee inquiries.
• Supporting new hire onboarding and providing a positive employee experience to new hires.
• Supporting accurate data collection by updating internal employee systems and databases.
• Using available tools and resources to prepare HR-related reports to support the business.
• Reviewing and providing recommendations on ways to improve HR policies & processes.
• Drafting engaging employee communications on policy and procedural changes.
• Responsibility for the maintenance, integrity and confidentiality of new hire files and records.
• Collaborating with HR and the local management team.
• Participating in continuous improvement projects.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

The starting hourly rate for this position in [[stateProvince]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[cust_salaryMin]] and $[[cust_salaryMax]] per hour. The hourly rate offered is based on local job market factors and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as a full range of medical, retirement, and / or other benefits.
