Job Description

Tax Senior Manager

Manage the timely delivery of federal and state compliance filings for REITs, complex tiered partnership structures, corporations, individuals, and trusts.
Oversee quarterly and year-end REIT qualification testing, earnings and profits calculations, and dividend taxability disclosures.
Consult with clients on various tax and real estate issues, including quarterly estimated tax payments and state tax withholding calculations.
Develop client relationships and respond to client needs.
Have a thorough understanding of accounting and income tax compliance issues related to real estate.

Requirements

8 to 10 years of technical tax experience

Proficiency in taxation of partnerships, LLCs, and similar flow-through entities

Knowledge of REIT tax issues

Master's degree in Taxation preferred

CPA license required

Experience in Big 4 or other national accounting firms preferred

Private sector experience is a plus

Familiarity with GoSystems tax software and advanced Excel skills preferred

Excellent analytical and judgment skills

Strong team player with leadership and mentoring abilities

Proven engagement management skills
