Schedule 12-hour night shifts. Must work 2 of 3 holidays. Orientation sessions are held every other Monday. Job Description The Med-Surg Surgical Unit RN will provide care to patients in a surgical setting, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. The role involves collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver effective and efficient patient-centered care. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and patient care. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Participate in patient education and discharge planning. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med-Surg specialty. BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred. Travel nursing experience is required. Teaching hospital and Charge experience preferred. Active Virginia or Compact License required at time of submission.
